   • With the overflow secured, screw the nut onto the threaded tailpiece of the pop-up waste to secure it in place. Use an adjustable wrench or a basin wrench to tighten the nut snugly. Be careful not to overtighten, as it may damage the sink or cause leaks.

7. Connect the lift rod or lever:

   • If your faucet has a lift rod at the back, attach the rod to the pop-up waste's horizontal arm.
   • If your faucet has a lever, connect the lever to the pop-up waste's horizontal arm.
   • Adjust the length of the rod or lever as needed, so it operates smoothly.

8. Check for leaks and proper operation:

   • Turn on the water supply to the sink and test the pop-up waste by operating the faucet. Check if the stopper lifts and seals the drain properly.
   • Fill the sink with water to test the overflow. Ensure that the water level reaches the overflow opening, and observe if it drains correctly without overflowing the sink.

9. Clean up:

   • Wipe away any excess plumber's putty or silicone sealant from around the drain flange.
